British Airways and Qatar Airways have added South Africa to their joint venture. Authorities have approved this expansion.
As a result, the UK, Qatar, and South Africa are newly included in the joint venture.
Between the UK and South Africa, British Airways operates 14 weekly round trips on the London/Heathrow – Johannesburg route and 7 weekly round trips on the London/Heathrow – Cape Town route. Between Qatar and South Africa, Qatar Airways operates 14 weekly round trips on the Doha – Johannesburg route, and 7 weekly round trips on both the Doha – Cape Town route and the Doha – Maputo – Durban route.
