Lufthansa German Airlines has commenced operations of the Airbus A350-900 on flights to and from Frankfurt.
This deployment is temporary due to delays in aircraft delivery. Initially, four aircraft will be deployed, with two more to be added in May and July. Operations to Seoul/Incheon and Shanghai/Pudong will begin on March 30, expanding to Denver on May 1 and Seattle on July 1.
Until now, this model has been deployed in Munich, where 30 units have been operated. The aircraft featuring the new cabin design “Allegris” will only operate on routes to and from Munich.
Lufthansa German Airlines plans to receive 61 new aircraft by the end of 2027. On average, this equates to introducing one new aircraft every two weeks.
