Tokyo Asset Solution has acquired a site for hotel development in Umezono-cho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and has commenced construction work.
The hotel will be tentatively named “Atami Umezono Hotel.” The building will have six above-ground floors and one underground floor, with a total of 58 guest rooms. The site covers an area of 3,601 square meters, with a total floor space of 5,343 square meters. The opening is planned for the autumn of 2027.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Atami City has seen an increase in the proportion of young tourists, making it a popular tourist destination. To meet this demand, the company acquired the hotel development site at the end of 2024. In January, demolition of the existing building on the development site began, marking the official start of the new hotel’s development.
