UAE Pavilion at Osaka Kansai Expo 2025: Experience Tradition and Innovation

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is showcasing a pavilion at the Osaka Kansai Expo, which opened on April 13.

The building features a design that reinterprets the UAE’s traditional architecture style, known as “Arish,” combined with Japanese wooden construction technology. Inside, there are 90 Lakhis pillars standing up to 16 meters tall. The theme is “Earth to Ether,” allowing visitors to experience the UAE’s values, cultural heritage, and cutting-edge innovations through their senses. The pavilion includes a restaurant offering UAE cuisine, a concept store by UAE creators, and a workshop space.

The location is Empowering Zone P-18, and it is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Reservations are required until May 25.

Osaka Kansai Expo is held with the theme “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives” from April 13 to October 13, lasting 184 days at Yumeshima, Osaka. As of February, 158 countries and regions, along with 7 international organizations, have declared participation. Ticket prices for adults 18 and older are 7,500 yen for a one-day ticket, 6,000 yen for a weekday ticket, and 3,700 yen for an evening ticket, allowing entry after 5:00 PM. There are also rates for youth aged 12-17 and children aged 4-11. Admission is free for children under 3. The expo is open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
