AirAsia X will increase the number of flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Almaty route starting July 2.
Currently, the airline operates four weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Starting in July, Wednesday flights will be added, making it five weekly round trips. The aircraft used for these flights will be the Airbus A330-300. The flight from Kuala Lumpur takes 7 hours and 40 minutes, while the return flight from Almaty takes 8 hours and 10 minutes.
The route was launched with four weekly flights on March 14, 2024, marking the airline’s first entry into Central Asia. Celebrating its first anniversary, the airline has decided to increase flights due to strong demand, with a seat occupancy rate of 90%.
