Malaysia Airlines will resume operations on the Kuala Lumpur-Brisbane route from November 29.
There will be 5 weekly round-trip flights, with departures from Kuala Lumpur on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and from Brisbane on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Airbus A330-300 aircraft will be used. The flight duration is 8 hours and 5 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, and 8 hours and 10 minutes from Brisbane.
Australia is described as a key international market for Malaysia Airlines, with demand for travel in both directions. Malaysia Airlines is the only carrier operating this route.
In addition to this, the airline plans to increase the frequency of its Kuala Lumpur-Sydney and Melbourne routes from 2 daily flights to 3. Some routes will see the introduction of the Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
