Mitsui Sumitomo Card Ends New Applications for Hawaiian Airlines Co-branded Cards
The Mitsui Sumitomo Card company will cease accepting new applications for the “Hawaiian Airlines VISA Card” and “Hawaiian Airlines VISA Gold Card” as of April 30.
The general card (annual fee of 3,300 yen including tax) is issued to individuals 18 years and older, while the gold card (annual fee of 11,000 yen) is generally available to those 30 years and older with stable, continuous income.
Upon joining or renewal, the general card earns 1,000 miles and the gold card earns 5,000 miles. Additionally, spending on the general card earns 1 mile per 200 yen, and the gold card earns 1 mile per 100 yen. Cardholders can also enjoy exclusive benefits such as access to the “Premier Club Lounge” at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu twice a year.
These are the only credit cards issued in Japan in collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines. Hawaiian Airlines is advancing its mileage program integration with Alaska Airlines.
