Etihad Airways to Launch Airbus A321LR in August with First Suite

Etihad Airways will introduce the Airbus A321LR aircraft.

The aircraft will have a total of 160 seats, comprising 2 First Suites, 14 Business Class seats, and 144 Economy Class seats. The First Suite will feature a 20-inch 4K monitor, wireless charging, and space for a companion. This is the first time a First Suite is being installed on a narrow-body aircraft.

The Business Class is arranged in a “1-1” configuration, offering a 78-inch fully flat seat, a 17.3-inch 4K monitor, wireless charging, and Bluetooth headphone connectivity. It also provides ample storage space. The Economy Class is designed with a “3-3” configuration, based on ergonomics, with a width of 18.4 inches and a maximum recline of 5 inches. It will be equipped with a 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen monitor and USB power supply.

High-speed Wi-Fi provided by Viasat, with a communication speed of up to 1Gbps, will be installed, supporting streaming videos, games, and live TV.

The first aircraft will commence operations on August 1, with plans to expand to a fleet of 10 by the end of the year. It will be deployed on short to medium-haul routes connecting Abu Dhabi and destinations such as Algiers, Athens, Bangkok, Chennai, Chiang Mai, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Kolkata, Krabi, Medan, Milan, Paris, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Riyadh, Tunis, and Zurich.

Etihad Airways plans to double its fleet and triple its passenger numbers by 2030 and will launch services to 16 new cities by 2025.
