Malaysia Airlines will gradually increase flights on the Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne route to three times daily.
Currently, the airline operates two round-trip flights per day. Starting from August 29, flights will be added on Wednesdays and Fridays, increasing to 16 round trips per week. From September 29, flights will be added on Mondays and Tuesdays, increasing to 18 round trips per week. From October 30, the frequency will be increased to three round trips daily. Departures from Melbourne will be the following day.
The flight time is 7 hours and 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and 8 hours and 45 minutes from Melbourne. Airbus A330 aircraft will be used.
