
Finnair Temporarily Lays Off 36 Pilots Due to Prolonged Strike Impact
Japan Airlines (JAL) will limit in-flight services on some flights due to a strike at Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport on May 2 and 3.
The company that JAL outsources for preparing and loading in-flight meals has staff participating in the strike, affecting flights JL47/48 from Tokyo/Haneda to Helsinki departing on May 2 and 3.
On JL47 from Tokyo/Haneda and JL48 from Helsinki, in-flight sales will not be conducted as there is no space for loading sales items. The pre-order service will also be unavailable.
On JL48 from Helsinki, simplified meals such as bento boxes and snacks will be offered in all cabin classes. Special in-flight meals and the pre-order meal service will not be available. Drinks will be served as usual.
