Hoshino Resorts will open “Risonare Shimonoseki” on December 11. It will be the eighth facility of the brand and the first entry in the Kyushu and Yamaguchi area.
The hotel will have a total of 187 rooms. As a “designer hotel of the strait,” it will feature a garden area on the premises to create an open space integrating nature and the sea. The designs of the guest rooms and the infinity pool will incorporate elements unique to this region, such as views of the Kanmon Strait and fugu. Activities that take advantage of the location are designed for guests to thoroughly enjoy their stay by the strait.
Hoshino Resorts signed a “Regional Revitalization Partnership Agreement” with Shimonoseki City in Yamaguchi Prefecture on April 30, 2022. In collaboration with the city, they are working to enhance the overall appeal of the Arcaport and Karato areas under the concept of “enjoying the strait and having fun throughout the day in a modern Japanese port town.”
