Virgin Atlantic Airways launched its London/Heathrow – Toronto route on March 30.
It operates one round-trip per day. The equipment used is a Boeing 787-9 configured with a total of 258 seats, consisting of 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium Economy, and 192 Economy seats.
The schedule considers connections with routes to India, whose network has been strengthened in recent years, with an average connection time of about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Beyond Toronto, access to 13 Canadian cities is available via WestJet Airline’s network, and Johannesburg, Lagos, Beirut, etc., can be accessed through code-share and interline agreements.
Virgin Atlantic Airways previously served Toronto in 2001 and Vancouver from 2012 to 2014. This marks its first return in over a decade.
