Uber has started offering an advance booking feature for its taxi dispatch service “Uber Taxi.”
In Tokyo and Osaka, bookings can be made from as early as 90 days in advance up to 15 minutes before the ride. The driver will be confirmed between 7 days to one day prior to the ride.
The reservation fee is 700 yen, and the ride cost is based on the meter fare. An additional dispatch fee is required for rides within the 23 wards of Tokyo.
