Hilton to Expand ‘NoMad’ in Asia Pacific, Opening in Singapore by 2027
Tokyo Prince Hotel will offer a limited-time ‘Hydrangea Afternoon Tea’ themed around hydrangeas, from May 10 to July 18.
The first tier of the afternoon tea stand features a white chocolate squirrel with an umbrella, a hojicha terrine inspired by raindrop ripples, and a hydrangea panna cotta resembling hydrangea flowers, expressing the image of a squirrel strolling through a hydrangea garden. The second tier includes three types: hydrangea daifuku, purple ‘tongcaron’, and hydrangea roll cake, crafted to showcase the subtle color changes of hydrangeas. The third tier offers savory items such as egg sandwiches and fresh spring rolls combining purple cabbage and shrimp.
Drinks include the “Blue Elderflower,” which changes color with the addition of lemon for acidity, and the “Muscat Wine Tea,” known for its wine-like aroma, based on Darjeeling, often referred to as the champagne of teas. In addition to these limited-time herbal teas, free-flowing tea and coffee are available. From the large windows of the Tea Salon Pikake, guests can view the courtyard hydrangeas, with their peak season from late May to June, subject to slight annual variations.
Location is on the 1st floor Tea Salon Pikake. Serving times are from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. The fee is 6,500 yen, tax included, service charge excluded. Reservations are required by 3 PM on the previous day, limited to 5 groups per time slot.
