
12 Airports in Northern India Closed Until May 10
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued spot information urging caution as there have been a series of robbery incidents in the Manila metropolitan area of the Philippines.
Incidents involving the use of firearms or objects resembling firearms have been occurring in areas such as Makati and Taguig, where many Japanese nationals reside. It is suggested that foreigners might be targeted.
Since October 2024, there have been 16 cases involving Japanese victims. These include cases where individuals were injured after being shot while resisting bag snatching, struck with the grip of a firearm, or robbed by intruders in restaurants.
The Japanese Embassy in the Philippines has requested the Philippine government to strengthen measures and arrest the perpetrators, but many culprits remain at large.
