
Sanctuary Court Takayama Art Gallery Resort Opens on March 25 as the First Facility of the New Brand
Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel will offer the ‘Queen Elizabeth II Japan Visit Reproduction Kaiseki’ from May 1 to June 30.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the hotel opening, they prepared a kaiseki meal that recreates the dishes from May 1975, 50 years ago, when Queen Elizabeth II visited the main store “Okazaki Tsuruya” in Kyoto, incorporating seasonal cuisine.
The lunch kaiseki “Momoyama” (12,000 yen) includes an appetizer of “Chimaki sushi, sea bream, shrimp, grilled duck breast with salt, broad beans”, Sashimi of “Bonito tataki, swordfish”, a soup of “Tide soup stock style, natural sea bream, radish, hiratake mushroom, udo”, Grilled dish of “Salt-grilled sweetfish”, A small bowl of “Fig Furofuki”, A strong dish of “Toji Yuba, baby potatoes, chrysanthemum greens”, A meal of “Quail rice, red miso soup, pickles”, and a dessert of “Warabi mochi”. The dinner kaiseki “Heian” (18,000 yen) offers an appetizer of “Chimaki sushi, sea bream, shrimp, grilled duck breast with salt, broad beans”, Sashimi “Isaki, tuna”, a soup of “Tide soup stock style, natural sea bream, radish, hiratake mushroom, udo”, Grilled dish of “Salt-grilled sweetfish”, A small bowl of “Nasu goma itashi”, A strong dish of “Ise lobster gusokuni”, A meal of “Quail rice, red miso soup, pickles”, and a dessert of “Warabi mochi”. The dishes used by Queen Elizabeth II during the meal will also be specially exhibited, and “Saku Kousan Itteki Mizu”, a junmai daiginjo brewed at a low temperature with Yamada Nishiki polished at 40% will be available with a special 25th-anniversary original label containing 25 lucky cranes, which is also the logo for “Kyoto Tsuruya”.
The location is on the 18th-floor Japanese restaurant “Kyoto Tsuruya”. The service times are from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM for lunch, and from 5:30 PM on weekdays and from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekends and holidays for dinner. Reservations can be made on the official website.
