Air New Zealand and Air India will implement a codeshare agreement. They have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The new codeshare will be implemented on 16 routes between India, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. This will enhance connectivity between various Indian cities connected by Air India, and Sydney, Melbourne, and Singapore.
Additionally, both airlines plan to launch direct flights connecting India and New Zealand by the end of 2028, subject to the delivery of new aircraft and regulatory approval. They aim to capture the rapidly increasing travel demand in India.
