The Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel will be offering the “Parfait Melon” from May 7 until July 13.
Utilizing plenty of distinctively flavored red and green melons, the parfait is enhanced with refreshing citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons to accentuate the deliciousness of the melons.
On top of a glass, two types of melon spheres are arranged, topped with Chantilly that has been blended with mascarpone for richness, and accompanied by homemade melon-flavored macarons. Inside the glass, a cool lemongrass jelly floating vanilla ice cream is complemented by blood orange guimauves and edible flowers, alternating layers of two types of fresh melon, creamy yogurt blancmange, melon jelly, lemon joconde, and crunchy crumble.
Located on the 2nd floor Lounge & Bar “Marine Blue”, the price is 3,400 yen for the parfait alone and 4,200 yen with coffee or tea, all inclusive of tax and service charges. Service hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and days before holidays (until 9 p.m. on Sundays and holidays).
