Qatar Airways held an in-flight eSports tournament called “Gaming in the Sky.”
During the flight departing Doha for London Heathrow on May 11, top players were divided into two teams and competed using high-speed, low-latency in-flight Wi-Fi provided by Starlink.
Qatar Airways currently offers Starlink on its Boeing 777 aircraft with complimentary access. Implementation on this model is nearing completion, and they will begin installation on Airbus A350 aircraft.
