Hoshino Resort to Close OMO3 Sapporo Susukino on April 1st
Osaka Prefecture has started recruiting tenants for the former Sakishima Cosmo Tower Hotel site.
It is located on floors 7 through 17 of the Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building. The renovation work to convert floors 7 through 9 into a hotel was interrupted by the previous tenant, and floors 10 through 17 have been finished into hotel specifications.
The former Sakishima Cosmo Tower Hotel was managed by Sakishima Cosmo Tower Hotel Development, jointly funded by Ricoh Japan and Nishitsuji Construction, who applied in a 2017 tender. Although it started opening in phases from January 2019, Osaka Prefecture sued the company for unpaid rent and won the case. The company’s president and others have been arrested on suspicion of asset concealment.
