Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have partially unified their fare systems for routes between Japan and Singapore, which went on sale starting May 21.
This move is part of a joint venture, covering flights from September 1 onwards. With this, options expand to 13 direct round-trip flights between Japan and Singapore daily, as well as connecting flights through six domestic airports in Japan via ANA’s domestic routes.
Both airlines have been practicing interlining and codesharing since 2004. Moving forward, Australia, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia are expected to be added as countries covered by this joint venture.
From May 21, both airlines have expanded the reservation classes eligible for mileage accrual in their mileage programs, with accrual rates now equal.
