Toyoko Inn to Sell ‘Local GENKI Badges’ from April 1
The Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel is offering ‘Melon Afternoon Tea’ from May 7 to July 13.
Two types of melons are used: the fragrant green flesh and the richly sweet red flesh, each crafted into different delightful sweets. At the top tier of the stand is a “Melon Verrine,” featuring glasses layered with the green and red melons, melon sauce, and chocolate-coated feuilletine, topped with whipped cream. Other offerings include original sandwiches made with a chocolate that resembles a melon filled with melon pâte de fruit and ganache, coconut mousse with melon jelly, panna cotta topped with fruit jelly, light-textured whipped cream melon shortcakes, and scones.
For savory dishes, there are “Mozzarella Cheese and Summer Vegetable Ratatouille” topped with mozzarella cheese and herbs, “Chicken, Tomato, and Cheddar Cheese Tortilla Roll,” “Bacon and Broad Bean Quiche,” along with 25 types of free café drinks and for an additional charge, sparkling wine with melon.
Additionally, limited to weekdays from 5:30 PM, a set that includes a melon parfait is available, with only 10 sets per day.
The venue is located on the 2nd floor at the Lounge & Bar “Marine Blue,” with a rotational service of 120 minutes starting at noon. Pricing is 6,500 yen, 7,700 yen with sparkling wine, and 10,000 yen for the premium plan with parfait, all inclusive of tax and service charges.
