
JAL to Retire Its First Boeing 777-300ER: Last Flight on the 26th
Airbus has delivered the first Airbus A321XLR equipped with Pratt & Whitney’s geared turbofan (GTF) to Wizz Air.
Wizz Air has ordered 47 Airbus A321XLR aircraft, with the current delivery being the first. It is configured with 239 economy class seats. The seats are made from recyclable materials by Jen Phoenix. The aircraft will be deployed on routes exceeding 6 hours of flight time, strengthening connections between Europe and the Middle East.
Wizz Air operates an all-Airbus fleet, with more than 230 of the Airbus A320 family. The airline plans to receive an additional 295 aircraft, with 6 more Airbus A321XLRs to be added this year.
