Experience the Semi-Private Feel for 1,200 Yen—Is There Already a Battle for the Newly Introduced “P Seats” on the Tokaido Shinkansen?
JR East has launched the “Tsubasa Connects” project in conjunction with the replacement of the Yamagata Shinkansen “Tsubasa” trains with the new E8 series.
The E3 series trains began operation in December 1999. Following the extension to Shinjo in 1999, the 1000 series was introduced, and from 2008, the 2000 series was deployed to replace the 400 series. The replacement with the E8 series will be completed within this fiscal year.
Starting June 17, wrapping featuring the logo motif of the “Tsubasa Connects” project will be applied to the front and rear cars of one E3 series train set. In addition, a project website will be launched, and related goods will be sold.
