China Eastern Airlines will open the Kumamoto to Shanghai/Pudong route on July 11.
It will operate three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. From August 20, the Wednesday service will be reduced, with two weekly round trips. The aircraft used will be an Airbus A320 with 8 business class seats and 148 economy class seats. The travel time is 2 hours 5 to 10 minutes from Kumamoto, and 2 hours 10 minutes from Shanghai/Pudong.
China Eastern Airlines’ gateway airports in Kyushu will expand to a total of four, including Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and Kagoshima.
