Finnair will cancel some flights on May 30 due to a strike by the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU).
The strike will occur at Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport for four hours. Although not restricted to specific times, essential operations such as aircraft maintenance, ground services, and catering will temporarily halt. Passengers are advised to carry essential items as carry-on luggage.
As a result, approximately 110 flights will be canceled, affecting 14,000 passengers. Alternative flights will be offered to booked passengers, who will be notified via email and app.
The strike has already been carried out four times in May, resulting in a total of about 410 flight cancellations. It is affecting Japanese routes as well. Further strikes are expected on June 2 and 4, and reservations are already being accepted for changes.
