United Airlines and JetBlue Airways will align their mileage programs and more.
In addition to enabling mutual earning and redemption of miles, they will offer perks such as free seat selection for premium members, day-of travel changes, standby, and first checked bag free. Certain corporate program features and discount conditions will also be mutually applied.
Moreover, bookings for both airlines’ flights will be possible on their respective websites and apps. Reservations and sales will occur under interline agreements, not as code-sharing, using each airline’s unique brand and flight number.
JetBlue Airways will transition to offering services for United’s hotel, car rental, cruise, and travel insurance, whether standalone or packaged.
Additionally, from 2027, JetBlue will provide slot access of up to 7 daily roundtrips at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, while United will provide up to 8 daily roundtrips at Newark Liberty International Airport in exchange.
Pending regulatory approval, services will gradually commence as early as this fall.
