Hotel Granvia Kyoto will host the “Melon & Kodama Watermelon Sweets Buffet” on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from May 9 to June 29.
In addition to offering unlimited Ibaraki Prefecture-grown melons “Ibaraking” and “Kodama Watermelons,” the buffet will feature shortcakes and tarts made with melons, chiffon cakes resembling cut watermelon, jelly made with Kodama Watermelons, Kodama Watermelon gazpacho, and grilled dishes using Ibaraki Prefecture’s pork “Hitachi no Kagayaki.” These local ingredient-based dishes will be available in the buffet corner.
A special dish prepared by the chef, provided one plate per person for elementary school students and older, includes a mini parfait made with Ibaraking and a comparison tasting of three types of fresh melons from Ibaraki Prefecture (Ibaraking, Andes, and Quincy).
The event will be held at the 2nd floor café restaurant “Le Temps.” Service time is from 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM, with a duration of 75 minutes. The price is 7,400 yen for adults, 3,700 yen for elementary school students, and 1,800 yen for ages 3 to below elementary school age. All prices include tax and service charges.
