JAL and AA Consider Adding Alaska Airlines Group to Joint Venture
Emirates and Air China have signed a memorandum to strengthen their partnership.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, and Yang Fei, Air China’s Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, signed this agreement in New Delhi, India. The two airlines first established a partnership in July 1999.
They will implement mutual codesharing not only on routes connecting China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) but also on some routes departing from Beijing and Dubai. The partnership will also cover collaborations in cargo and mileage programs, as well as adjustments to flight schedules and minimum connecting times. They will exchange expertise in revenue management, data analysis, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Emirates is responding to increasing travel demand amid expanding investments into mainland China, including the announcement of launching services to Shenzhen and Hangzhou.
