Klook Caught Facilitating Illegal ‘White Taxi’ Services — A Scoop
Tabikobo will establish a special investigation committee to scrutinize the contents of claims for Employment Adjustment Subsidies and Emergency Employment Stabilization Subsidies.
Upon being requested by the Tokyo Labor Bureau on March 11 to conduct a voluntary investigation, Tabikobo voluntarily undertook an internal investigation. This revealed discrepancies between the actual working conditions and the contents of subsidy claims. Many of the executives and administrative staff at the time of application have already resigned or left, so the facts have not been thoroughly clarified. The cumulative amount received is approximately 802 million yen.
Regarding Tabikobo, it has been stated that fraud has been uncovered with the Go To Travel program subsidies, but the relationship has not been clarified.
The special investigation committee, chaired by Hideki Miyake of Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, a Foreign Law Joint Enterprise, will conduct the investigation. The investigation report is expected to be received by early August.
