Hyatt Regency Hakone Resort & Spa will be offering “Summer Afternoon Tea” from June 1 to August 31.
This afternoon tea is sprinkled with summer fruits, including citrus from Odawara. As a starter, they offer granite made with black tea from the foothills of Mount Hakone. The three-tier stand features four types of sweets: “Profiteroles” combining banana jam and pistachio flavor with light choux pastry, “Citrus Macaron” with lemon cream and orange confit, “Matcha Cookie” for enjoying the almond texture and matcha aroma on the first tier. The second tier includes “Cheese Terrine” with a spicy batter containing cinnamon and allspice, finished moist with a hot water bath, and “Soga Plum Jelly” using Soga plums from Odawara. The third tier showcases three savory items: “Egg and Bacon Bagel Sandwich,” “Tomato and Mozzarella Caprese,” and “Escabeche.”
Beverages include an unlimited choice of Ronnefeldt teas, herbal teas, coffee, cafe latte, espresso, cappuccino, and Japanese tea.
The location is the Living Room. Service hours are from noon to 2:30 PM. The price is 5,200 yen, and with a glass of champagne, it is 6,200 yen. Both prices include tax but exclude service charges.
