Quintessa Hotel Hiroshima Kanayama-cho Rebrands and Opens in August
Millennium Mitsui Garden Hotel Tokyo is offering an afternoon tea with a ‘Hydrangea’ theme until June 30.
Utilizing seasonal ingredients sourced from various regions of Japan, the lineup includes brightly colored sweets and matcha-infused desserts reminiscent of fresh greenery. Some menu examples are the “Blueberry Cheesecake,” which combines the fluffy texture of rare cheese with crumbly cookie dough and is accented with the tangy blueberry sauce evoking hydrangeas; the “Matcha Rai Okoshi,” crafted to balance sweetness and highlight the roasted fragrance of matcha; and the “Matcha Dorayaki,” based on white bean paste and infused with gin in the cream for an aromatic experience. Additionally, four types of savory items and a welcome drink, sweet tea made from young leaves of Amacha from the Hydrangeaceae family, are offered. A selection of teas, including Ronnefeldt, Uji tea, and Chiran tea, are also available.
The location is the restaurant “Modern Satoyama Cuisine ZEN HOUSE.” Service hours are from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM weekends, with the last seating at 3:00 PM for both. Pricing starts at 4,000 yen on weekdays and 4,200 yen on weekends, all-inclusive of tax and service charges. A high tea plan to enjoy with champagne during dinner time is also available.
