Hoshino Resorts will open “KAI Kusatsu” in the spring of 2026.
It will be the 24th hotel of the brand, set on a hill overlooking Mount Kusatsu-Shirane, including accommodation buildings, a bathhouse building, a lounge building, and a local delights building.
The hotel will have a total of 94 rooms. The concept is “A Forest Bath Retreat Connected by a Tunnel to the Hot Spring Town,” featuring an exclusive tunnel for guests that connects Kusatsu Hot Spring Town to the facility, reaching the Yubatake area in a 5-minute walk. The facility will also include shops, dining areas, and a courtyard.
Reservations are scheduled to start around autumn.
