Etihad Airways and Ethiopian Airlines will implement a strategic codeshare partnership.
Etihad Airways passengers can enjoy seamless connections to 55 cities in 33 countries via Addis Ababa, while Ethiopian Airlines passengers can connect to 20 cities in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East via Abu Dhabi. Ethiopian Airlines will operate the Abu Dhabi-Addis Ababa route starting July 15, and Etihad Airways will commence the same route on October 8.
In March, the two carriers had agreed to implement a joint venture.
