Granbell Hotel will open “Otaru Granbell Hotel” on July 18.
The building is 6 stories. It features 159 rooms in 7 types: 4 corner suites for 4 people, 6 deluxe twins and 3 superior doubles with open spaces by minimizing walls, 2 universal rooms with handrails in bath and toilet and without indoor steps, 46 twin rooms, 34 rooms with 160cm wide beds, and 64 Hollywood twins that can also be used as doubles with two beds placed side by side.
The hotel includes a lobby lounge, restaurant, open-air bath with a panoramic sauna offering a view of the Ishikari Bay, a rooftop bar, and a fitness gym.
The exterior design is based on Otaru soft stone stratification. The guestroom windows are wide and horizontally extended to capture spacious views. The first floor consists of columns elevating the ground surface, while the top floor represents a building standing on the strata.
Access is about a 15-minute walk from JR Otaru Station.
