Cathay Pacific Airways’ Japan Reservations Drop 30% in July Amid Rumors of ‘Major Disaster’
All Nippon Airways (ANA) will start selling the ‘HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS’ series of single malt Japanese whisky, produced by the Akkeshi Distillery’s whisky division of Koten Jitsugyo, on its international flights beginning July 1.
The Akkeshi ‘HOKUSAI NORTH COLORS’ whisky was created with the concept, “What if Hokusai had visited Akkeshi…” It offers three varieties, each with different taste, aroma, and color expression: “SUIREI (Jade Peak)”, “KUUSUI (Sky Jade)”, and “KOKIAKE (Deep Scarlet)”. The packaging of each bottle is designed to complete the world-famous painting “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” from “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji” when arranged together.
The price for each is 34,000 yen. Launch dates are July 1 for ‘SUIREI’, September 1 for ‘KUUSUI’, and January 1, 2026, for ‘KOKIAKE’. Advance reservation is required through the ANA international flight in-flight duty-free pre-order service.
