
JR Hokkaido Fresh Kiosk Closes ‘Kita no Tokkyubin’ Retailing Railway Goods and Local Products
To address anticipated congestion at Midori no Madoguchi during the summer peak season for reserved seat limited express ticket purchases, JR East is opening temporary ticket offices.
Temporary Midori no Madoguchi offices will be set up at Kawaguchi, Kita-Asaka, Minami-Koshigaya, Kawagoe, and Kuki stations where “talking reserved seat ticket machines” are available. The period will be announced on station postings and on the station information pages of the website.
Additionally, JR East plans to increase the number of Midori no Madoguchi at 45 stations in the Kanto, Tohoku, and Shin-etsu areas as much as possible. The targeted stations include Ikebukuro, Kamata, Kashiwa, Tsurumi, Musashi-Kosugi, Musashi-Mizonokuchi, Noborito, Yokohama, Totsuka, Ofuna, Hiratsuka, Odawara, Ito, Machida, Kichijoji, Mitaka, Kokubunji, Tachikawa, Hachioji, Otsuki, Kofu, Omiya, Musashi-Urawa, Utsunomiya, Takasaki, Mito, Katsuta, Iwaki, Ichikawa, Tsudanuma, Chiba, Shin-Urayasu, Koriyama, Furukawa, Shin-Shirakawa, Ichinoseki, Hachinohe, Akita, Hirosaki, Matsumoto, Nagano, Ueda, Saku-daira, Karuizawa, and Niigata stations.
