Miyagi Prefecture is hosting the “SKY UP! Sendai 2025” campaign.
For people born on or after April 2, 1996, using international or domestic flights departing from or arriving at Sendai Airport, if their total cost for airline tickets, accommodation fees, etc., is 50,000 yen or more for international flights and 10,000 yen or more for domestic flights, part of the airfare purchase cost will be reimbursed.
For trips with 2 or fewer people under 30, a reimbursement of 7,000 yen is offered for international flights and 3,000 yen for domestic flights. For group trips of 3 or more, the reimbursement is 12,000 yen for international flights and 6,000 yen for domestic flights. Additionally, for family trips including 3 or more with members under 30, the reimbursement is 12,000 yen for international flights and 6,000 yen for domestic flights, and for families with members over 30, 5,000 yen for international flights and 3,000 yen for domestic flights is provided. The travel period is from July 1, 2025, to February 27, 2026, for international flights, and from October 26, 2025, to February 27, 2026, for domestic flights.
Moreover, for those obtaining a new or renewal Japanese passport with less than one year left on its validity and using international flights from Sendai Airport, an assistance of 10,000 yen for adults and 6,000 yen for those under 12 is provided. The applicable period is from July 1, 2025, to February 27, 2026.
Both campaigns apply to international flights booked after June 18, 2025, and domestic flights booked after September 1, 2025. Cashback is available once only, and documents verifying the reservation date, cost, identification, etc., are required.
