Air Canada and ITA Airways have agreed on a codeshare.
The codeshare agreement will cover 10 routes each for ITA Airways from Rome to Lamezia Terme, Palermo, Catania, Florence, Bari, Cairo, Tunis, Algiers, Tirana, Tel Aviv and for Air Canada from Toronto to Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, St. John’s, Boston, Orlando, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale.
The start of the codeshare marks a significant milestone for ITA Airways as it prepares to join the Star Alliance. The service is expected to begin with flights from July 21, with some routes requiring government approval.
