InterContinental Sapporo Opening on October 1
East Japan Railway Company and Marriott International will open the “JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo” at Takanawa Gateway City on October 2.
Located on floors 22 to 30 on the south side of Complex Building I, which has 30 above-ground floors and 3 underground floors. The interior design was entrusted to Yabu Pushelberg, known for projects like the London Edition. It incorporates images of Takanawa’s former scenery and “Zen,” using deep Japanese indigo as an accent color, resulting in a balanced design that is delicate and elegant. The hotel is designed to provide guests with a culturally expansive experience and enhance well-being.
The hotel offers 200 rooms, including 9 “JW Mindful Rooms” that provide a special wellness experience. These rooms feature mindfulness-themed decor and dedicated programs to support harmony of mind and body.
Dining facilities include six restaurants such as the modern Mediterranean restaurant “Sefino,” Michelin-star chef-supervised Japanese cuisine “Saki,” and croissant bar “Le Cres,” along with a lobby lounge and the “JW Bar.”
Additionally, the hotel is equipped with an indoor pool, fitness center, spa, the JW Ballroom featuring Japan’s first 270-degree LED wall, and six meeting rooms.
“JW Marriott Hotel” will be the second location in Japan and the first in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
