
Alaska Airlines to Launch Seattle-London/Heathrow & Reykjavik Routes Next Spring, Unveils New 787-9 Livery
Delta Air Lines will open the Los Angeles-Hong Kong route on June 6, 2026.
One round trip will be operated daily. The aircraft used will be the Airbus A350-900.
From Los Angeles, more than 160 flights will be operated to over 50 cities at peak times. In addition to resuming flights to Shanghai/Pudong, the network is being strengthened with plans to begin service to Melbourne in December 2026. A $2.3 billion investment is being made for renovations.
On the same route, Cathay Pacific operates three round trips daily, and United Airlines operates two.
