
JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo to Open on October 2
Seibu Holdings plans to end operations of the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa by the 2026 fiscal year.
In the Takanawa 3-chome district, the goal is to finalize urban planning by around December. New construction in the B-1 district, where the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa is located, is expected to commence in the 2028 fiscal year, with completion aimed for 2032.
The redevelopment of the B-1 district is primarily led by Seibu Real Estate. Plans include enhancing pedestrian networks to improve connectivity between Shinagawa Station and surrounding urban areas, enriching green spaces in coordination with Takanawa Mori Park, and introducing urban functions such as MICE.
Investment amounts are undecided. Despite rising construction costs, various considerations are being made to generate returns.
