Potential Large-Scale Strike at South Korean Airports During Chuseok (Sep 19–Oct 9)
Chubu Centrair International Airport will hold the 15th “Centrair Bon Odori” on July 19 and 20 at the Sky Deck on the 4th floor of Terminal 1.
Instructors from the Tokoname City Cultural Association dressed in original Centrair yukata will participate in the Bon Odori, and cheerleaders from Nagoya Grampus, Seahorse Mikawa, and Fighting Eagles Nagoya will make an appearance. At the Event Plaza, “Fukukami Lanterns,” decorated by elementary school students using recycled clothing, will be on display. A limited quantity of fans featuring the 20th Anniversary logo will also be distributed.
The event will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, 30 minutes longer than the previous year. Some shops within the airport will extend their hours as well. The event will be canceled in case of rain.
Starting in 2009, “Centrair Bon Odori” is in its 15th iteration this year. In 2024, it returned to its pre-pandemic scale, held over two days for the first time in five years, with approximately 8,500 participants over the two days.
