China Southern Airlines has decided to suspend the Toyama-Dalian route earlier than planned, starting from August 2. Initially, the suspension was scheduled from September 3 to October 26.
The airline currently operates two round trips per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays using Airbus A320 aircraft. After a suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, operations resumed in June 2024. The reason for the suspension is attributed to aircraft scheduling. Eight round trips were also suspended in June for the same reason.
The only international route from Toyama will now be the Shanghai/Pudong route by China Eastern Airlines, operating three round trips per week.
