Virgin Atlantic is investing in premium experiences from airports to onboard.
Starlink will be installed on all aircraft by 2027, providing free unlimited Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Boeing 787-9 will undergo a complete cabin refurbishment, introducing a premium cabin design inspired by the Airbus A330neo between 2028 and 2030. This premium cabin will increase the number of premium seats while reducing economy class seats.
By the third quarter of 2026, Airbus A330neo aircraft will feature 10 new premium cabins with 6 Retreat Suites, 48 Upper Class seats, and 56 Premium seats. The Retreat Suites will include approximately 1.8-meter long seats, Bluetooth-enabled 27-inch touchscreens, wireless charging, and ottomans.
The airport lounges “Clubhouse” will undergo renovation at both London/Heathrow and New York/John F. Kennedy airports.
Additionally, an app with enhanced personalization features, specifically for the Flying Club, is expected to be released later this year. The Flying Club offers a benefits program for those who do not travel frequently enough to upgrade their tier status.
