China Eastern Airlines will open the Shanghai/Pudong-Auckland-Buenos Aires route in December.
The plan is to operate 2 round trips per week using a Boeing 777. It is considered more convenient as the flying distance and travel time are shorter compared to the northern route.

China Eastern Airlines started its Auckland service in 2014 and operates the highest number of flights between China and New Zealand.
