American Express is running a sign-up campaign for the “American Express Gold Preferred Card” from July 24 to September 30.
Within 6 months of joining, you can earn 10 bonus points for every 100 yen spent at qualifying merchants (up to 20,000 bonus points), plus an additional 20,000 bonus points for spending over 500,000 yen within 3 months, and 70,000 bonus points for spending over 1,000,000 yen within 6 months, totaling up to 110,000 bonus points. Including regular spending points, you can earn up to 120,000 bonus points.
The “American Express Gold Preferred Card” will begin issuance in February 2024. As a benefit for continued card use, customers spending over 2,000,000 yen per year will receive a “Free Stay Gift,” allowing two people to stay one night at a domestic hotel for free, as well as a 10,000 yen travel credit usable on hotel reservations through American Express Travel Online. The annual fee is 39,600 yen (tax included).
From the same date, in addition to the traditional gold, you can also choose a rose gold card design.
