Shinagawa Prince Hotel will offer the Japanese afternoon tea “Waka Melon in Love with An” from July 1 to August 31.
The concept is “A New Story of Summer and Japanese Afternoons in Shinagawa ~ The Beginning of Love with the Gentleness of Anko and Coolness of Melon.” The savory items made with seasonal ingredients include “Broiled Hime Sazae,” “Tempura of Hamo,” “Grilled Wagyu,” “Cheese Tofu with Tsubu-an,” and “Matcha Somen.” For desserts, portraying the first love of melon, there is a “Comparison of Yubari Melon, Musk Melon, and Red Melon” to depict rivalries, as well as “Melon Bread with Melon Cream,” “Melon Sorbet,” and “Melon Almond Jelly.” Additionally, for the encounter of Anko and Melon, “Water Warabi Mochi,” “Matcha Zenzai,” “Tempura of Ohagi,” and “Tokoroten” are offered, and “Dango” can be grilled and enjoyed with Tsubu-an or soy sauce.
The location is on the 38th floor of the Main Tower, “Ajikaido Gojusantsugi.” Service hours are from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and until 5:00 PM on weekends and holidays, with a 120-minute limit. The price is 6,500 yen, tax included, but service charges are extra. Reservations are required, and the number is limited.
