JAL apologizes after contractor’s security screener arrested for cash theft at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport
Emirates Airlines will be changing the regulations regarding the carrying of mobile batteries starting in October.
Passengers can bring one mobile battery under 100Wh on board, which must have its capacity rating information displayed. The use and charging of mobile batteries aboard the aircraft will be prohibited. They cannot be stored in the overhead baggage compartments. Checking them in as checked baggage has been prohibited from before.
Due to an increase in incidents related to mobile batteries onboard across the airline industry, a comprehensive safety review was conducted. As a result, this measure will be implemented to mitigate risks.
