Tokyo Station Hotel is offering a melon-themed afternoon tea from July 1 to August 31.
The hotel selects the most delicious melons of the moment, such as muskmelon, Earl’s melon, and Quincy melon, to be enjoyed in a variety of sweets.
Melon sweets include mousse with Narita Yume Bokujo yogurt and melon jelly shaped like a mini melon, champagne jelly with blueberries and scooped melon pieces, tart topped with large-cut melon, and shortcake with cream and two kinds of fresh melon sandwiched between two layers of sponge. Scones are available in plain and blueberry varieties.
The savory options include sandwiches with smoked salmon, potatoes, and capers, accented with crispy onion salad, “Marinated Shrimp with Truffle”, “Pumpkin Soy Milk Cream Mousse”, and additionally, omelette rice with Wagyu hamburger steak served separately.
The location is the first-floor lobby lounge. Service is available from 1 PM to 6 PM (last entry) for a two-hour duration. Drinks last order is 30 minutes before closing. The fee is 7,400 yen from Monday to Thursday, and 7,900 yen on Fridays, weekends, and holidays. An additional 2,500 yen includes a glass of champagne. Reservations must be made by noon the day before, and it is limited to 20 people per day.
